On the catwalk

” C ” – stands for CRUISE

It’s almost time to put on our shades and to book the hotel and flights to exotic destinations! The holiday season is already there and there are so many sources of inspiration before going to shopping for swimwear, seaside outfits, and hats or beach handbags.

Fashion brands have already launched their cruise collections for 2012, so we can get excited by tres chic outfits in advance. As there are still sales in many of the stores, take the opportunity to look for versatile outfits to complete your holiday, whether you go now or later in the summer.

The vast majority of beach garments and accessories varies little from year to year, so a classic bathing suit or beach dress can now become investment pieces, especially if prices are significantly lower.

For a bit of inspiration, take a look again at the Versace for H&M Collection that just launched their Cruise clothing. Fruity pastel tops, dresses and beach accessories that are all a bit more discreet and more elegant than thier original Versace for H&M Collection, which of elements flashy and opulent materials.

This is the first capsule collection that H&M actually expanded accross 2 seasons, so I am tempted to think it’s all a cover-up of the failure of the first Versace collection where many of the clothes were returned and discounted or sold on eBay.
