What is new? Spring – Summer 2012

The summer 2012 makeup is focused on bold lips, metallic smokey-eye, eye-liner and eye-pencil, but also on a vintage-inspired powdered complexion. The pastel shades we used to play with when we were kids become a sexy weapon, especially if paired with porcelain skin and avant-garde eyeliners. 

The eye-pencil  is that simple and minimalist touch that adds graphic magic to your eyes. Several years ago, we used to use this all the time both in daylight and evening makeup, but recently it has been replaced by the upper lid slick eye-liner. This year, however, the eye-pencil brings back its smudgy-ness and shows us it still has life! We admit we are tempted to deja-vu even with colored ones!

Powdered complexion is the ABC of 2012 makeup. We love compact poweders and the fluffy kabuki brushes, so don’t be shy and play around with a doll face look this season.

Eye lashes are not ignored in this beauty season either!The message that comes across the runways was “SKY IS THE LIMIT”! This thing is not really that much of a surprise as volume, thickness and eye-defining makeup is always on our wishlist. What is new this year is that cosmetic eye-lashes are more hip than ever. The last successful collaboration is between Sephora and Pantone for the 2012 color of the year, the lovely coral shade called Tangerine Tango.

On everyone lips this season are not only the newest fashion books, but also bold color lip colors. We love them paired with the best shades chic for weekend mornings and sunny afternoons. 🙂
