Turtleneck Outfit and a Stroll Through Gastown

I just adore those winter days that are sunny and crisp. This is pretty rare when living in a city like Vancouver, where winters are mild and predominantly rainy! So when the sky clears up and it’s finally sunny outside, it’s like something magical happens. The city starts glowing, people are happier and there is something in the air that makes you fall in love with the city again!

I always try to enjoy sunny days by getting outside and walking around as much as possible. This involves taking a stroll through my favorite places in the city or its surroundings.

Gastown is one of them. This weekend I dressed up warm and comfortable wearing a turtleneck outfit and visited some of my favorite places in Gastown.

Although it’s a neighborhood most famous for its restaurants and bars, there are lots of other great places to discover. If you’re into architecture aesthetics and design, Gastown has real character and it’s a sort of city within the city, with lots of great buildings and really nice local shops to browse.

Some of my favorites include:

Shops – Secret Location, Aesop, Oak and Fort, One of a Few, Orling and Wu, The Block

Cafés – Milano, Birds and the beets, Coffeebar

Restaurants – The Sardine Can, Chill Winston, Blacktail, Rodney’s Oyster House

Getting drinks – The Diamond.
